The only thing that concerns me about the rumored offer is that this is now painting a somewhat troubling picture that the left-handed OBP machine 1B is not a Beinfest player. I'm not trying to say we should substitute Gaby for LoMo, because that's not getting done, or that LoMo is better than Upton, because he's not, but rather that with Adrian and now LoMo, that just doesn't seem to be the kind of player Beinfest covets.

I really don't see that picture you are painting.

It's not like they are dangling Logan. They have a serious opportunity to improve the team while dealing from a relative position of depth, and they are taking advantage of that opportunity, if there's truth to this.

It'd be one thing if they are dangling him in talks, but they have held onto him despite a number of teams reportedly asking for him in trades. But when a guy like Justin Upton is available, the limited offensive 1B who is playing out of position on your team shouldn't stand in your way.
