marlins scouts knew what they were doing when they were highly interested in abrams in the draft. his numbers in the AZL are absolutely stupid for a kid out of high school.

I think the Marlins made an error in passing on Abrams.

To prefer the 5-tool Acuna Jr type potential of Abrams does not equate to not liking Bleday. Abrams simply has a much higher ceiling.

All of a sudden Lee Stone is a tools guy. If Abrams was hitting .290 (in 83 ABs against fellow high schoolers btw) right now we wouldn't hear a peep about this from you Lee. You haven't seen him play, I doubt you've even seen highlight videos. You're getting worked up about 83 ABs, and being contrarian on Bleday, because Bleday's numbers were across the board excellent in the brutally tough SEC this year. I look forward to you explaining to us how being the SEC player of the year is somehow a negative for Bleday again.

holloway and stewart have to be the biggest disappointments of the year thus far out of our pitchers.

Holloway and Guzman need to be in the pen. Will Stewart's issue is Miami is/was trying to change his mechanics

Probably time to recognize that Venezuelan Luis Palacios, just turned 19, is one of the Marlins very best prospects. Chis Paddock type numbers.

Nice to see Neidert on the road to recovery. 3 scoreless innings for the Gulf Coast rookie Marlins this morning.

cool to see neidert back. get him up to AAA the rest of the year and then I would guess he likely goes to the AFL to make up some lost innings.

Crazy that we've been talking about the tremendous pitching depth we've got in the minors and the pitching prospect I think we were all highest on last season has been a non-factor due to injury and has been kinda forgotten. I think if he's completely healthy he's going to have a strong last month or so in AAA and be a factor in the Rotation discussion come spring training.
