Yeah that 26th man seems tailor-made for Sierra, perfect pinch runner/defensive replacement. He's nothing more than that in my eyes. Miller probably ends up a better hitter than Sierra (might already be) but not enough to make him more than a similar bench player.

Ya Sierra prolly gets first crack at it next year since he is out of options. If he sucks u DFA him and let Miller handle it.

26th Man 9th inning PR/defense replacement(who is a contact bat too) is the category for guys like Sierra/Miller/Bird/Orr/Milton

Down 4-1 in the 10th. Peyton Burdick hits a 3-Run HR to tie the game up and they go the 11th.

hadnt checked connor scotts numbers in a few weeks and man has he been on fire recently. Not that a .673 OPS is anything special, but that's a pretty drastic improvement from the low .600s he's been most of the year. Would love to see him be able to finish around .750 OPS and then maybe start him off there in clinton to start next year where hopefully he would dominate and then get a quick promotion to jupiter. Banfield on the other hand has been even worse lately.

Isan Diaz with another homer today. His OPS is approaching 1.000 now.

Eddy Alvarez and Austin Dean are putting up equally absurd numbers in AAA right now as well. I know his stats in the majors have been disappointing, but I'd still love to see the marlins say, Austin, we're giving you a month, you're starting every day in LF at the big leagues, let's see what you can do. I feel like they haven't done that with him yet, and it might be a missed opportunity especially considering we're throwing out Granderson/Riddle/Puello out there right now in that spot.

              - - - - - - - - - -

Meanwhile Brinson hasn't gotten a hit in about a decade.

Agree wholeheartedly on Dean. Put him in LF, bat him 5th, and just leave him there. There's absolutely no reason not to. Puello=pointless.

trevor rogers fantastic again tonight. he deserves a call up soon. 7 ip tonight, 0 ER, 6 k's, no walks. Now at 106/23 K/BB ratio in 96 innings. Him and Garrett are top 100 guys.

he now has 4 less walks this year than he did all of last year in 24 more innings so far this year than last year.

Totally agree about Dean. It's weird that he's never been given a chance to play consistently for an extended period of time in the Majors.

dean will get the starting job after the deadline for at least a month, maybe the rest of the year if brinson continues to suck. I hope they dont bring brinson up at all if he continue to suck in AAA and not show any signs of improved plate discipline. He's shown nothing in AAA that would indicate that he will be an improved player when he comes back up here.

can we get james nelson the hell out of the organization already? The dude stinks, he cant hit, and every single game i look at jupiters box score and the guy has an error costing our pitcher an unearned run . He made his 26th fucking error tonight and he's played 83 games and has a .535 OPS and has never had any power.
