I really do get a kick out of how good Lewis Brinson is at minor league baseball and how bad he is at major league baseball.

Monte Harrison building himself a really positive season. Continued growth and he may actually be a worthy replacement for Ozuna.

The pitching in the minors has been stellar as of late, but some of the hitters coming around is good to see. Still a long way to go though.

Good for Lewis Brinson. He badly needed a significant stretch of success. It's been a while. I'd give him another 2 weeks in AAA and if he keeps hitting, bring him back up in June.

That's 3 straight quality starts for Guzman in Jacksonville. Also, a nice rehab inning for Ferrell. Probably won't be too long before he's ready.

Braxton Garrett is also having a nice start to the season in Jupiter along with Trevor Rogers...good to see.

Another positive is that Banfield, Scott, and Thomas Jones are all hitting much better in May for Clinton. Hopefully that trend continues.

Give brinson 2 full months then bring him back. Let him get some sustained success and confidence back

Harrison now 14 SBs and 0 Caught Stealing. I remember I did this for Dee Gordon a couple years ago, but if I calculate OPS with added total bases to his slugging for stolen bases and remove the times caught stealing from his OBP his new OPS is .957. The Ks still make me wonder how his stats will translate at the big league level, but definitely an encouraging start to his season at AAA.

I am pleasantly surprised by Harrison's improvement as well. Your recalculation of OPS with the stolen bases is interesting. It could be argued that the significance of stolen bases is even more magnified when you consider the pressure on pitchers to throw fastball strikes from the stretch. I would like to see Harrison continue to lower the strike out rate for another month or two. It was also nice to see Brinson hit a homer this year. However, he is striking out at a 35% clip at New Orleans as well.

Still not very encouraged by Harrison. The high K rate combined with the very high BABIP make me remain skeptical.

Nice to see Jake Walters pitching. 9th Rd pick LY who has issue with physical but guess better now. If this was Jeff's team still the kid would have been released

Serious question-Who the hell broke Will Stewart?

Only thing I have read is that a couple MPH of velocity disappeared after his first couple of starts - and he was a bit of a soft-tosser to begin with. Frankly, it would be hard to give up 30 runs in 14 innings (as he has) even tossing underhand.

His control is terrible too. They probably made a change to his delivery. Brightside is EVERY other pitcher looks solid even Poteet and a few Low A guys

                          Sixto going today

Gallen having rough start and Holloway had 11K but Jupiter still lost. Jupiter could have 8 of 9 pitchers with ERA below 3.00 and be worst team in FSL because only 3 guys can hit

One oddity I just noticed, Harrison and Brinson both playing in the 2nd game of the doubleheader. So who is manning CF? J.T. Riddle.
