        • great start. Seemed like a lot of smokescreens

          • Our next pick is 5 spots away: I'm still thinking HS SS is the most likely, Lugo (Miami Kid) and Nunez. (tj's boy) Also, some HS pitchers on the board like Matthew Allan and Brennan Malone, but their price tag may be high. Or if we wanted to double up on another big College bat, Michael Busch from UNC, still on the board.

            nvm, Busch just drafted.

            • I’d be cool with pretty much any direction they go here. Go BPA

              • Those SSs are still there at 46.

                • They took fangraphs 3, 30, and 31 at picks 4, 35, and 46.

                  Who are these guys

                  • Yeah I really like what they've done. If Misner is a quality defender in center, then I'd say I love what they've done.

                    • Great draft so far. Got Bleday who they loved, got a guy some mentioned at #4 in March at #35 then got the guy they wanted at #35 at #46. The only negative about the draft is most Rd 3 guys we wanted got taken

Few guys still on board(who are "signable")

                      P Erik Miller
                      3B Drew Mendoza
                      2B Will Holland
                      C Ethan Hearn
                      SP Graeme Stinson
                      4/5 other College arms

                      Some likely UNSIGNABLE ones are
                      SP Hunter Barco
                      SP Spencer Jones
                      SP Andrew Dalquist
                      SP Bryce Osmond
                      3B Tyler Callihan
                      SS Brooks Lee

Be cool with Will Holland or Erik Miller. Great value on some of these arms!! Take arm in Rd 3 then College C/DJ Herz or Cade Doughty in Rd 4 and 5

Competant FO and owner who isn't worried about going a penny over what they need to. BPA who will sign is a better strategy then athlete OR 23 yr old RP who will sign for 1K

                      • I’d go Stinson next if possible. FG says he has the nastiest 2 pitches in the draft. They need lefties and he seems to fit into being MLB ready in 2 years

Love Stinson however something is wrong with him(Brett Lilek all over again) Erik Miller is also a 6'5 225lbs lefty which is why mentioned him. Either would be fine with me!

When say something wrong I mean no one seems to know the issue. If they were like his shoulder or needs TJS I would be OK but its like Brett Lilek's injury where its a total mystery

                          • I know the likelihood of us taking another OF is low, but I've been watching a lot of the Corvallis Regional this past weekend and Jordan Brewer and Will Robertson are studs.

                            • FG - Bleday is just a great player who has had a great amateur career and passes every eye test. It’s interesting that Misner, who has huge power but a rough swing, was often mentioned with the Yankees and instead ends up with Miami, which is somewhat staffed with ex-Yankees personnel. Nunez is the best infield defender in the class and he’s got a shot to hit from both sides of the plate. A strong first day from Miami restocking the system with upside bats.

They still need upper level bats badly(signing minor league FA now to fill spots) but the value right now is pitching. College and HS pitching with 2nd Rd Grades are all over the board
