Don't most guys have a 5 inning limit in the minor leagues?

      Depends on the organization.

I wonder if it's a pitch limit vs. innings. He averaged 5.2 innings per start in Jupiter, but he dominated more often so I'm sure he got deeper on less pitches there.
      --------------------
I know the strict inning limits are much more common in the low minors. I'm trying to remember what org it is, but I know I've read one does, or did, 4ip limits and basically schedules 2 starts a game (1st inning and 5th inning). So one pitcher basically treated his entire routine like he was starting, but he came in in the 5th inning. If the starter got beat up, they used the pen to get to the 5th and his "start"

Nice to see Brad Hand having this kind of season. Could still be a nice pitcher in our starting rotation sometime in the future. Also, we need to promote Yelich and Conley to double A Asap.

Skip's hitting .307/.410/.788 with 7 HR since he bottomed out at .196 at the end of play on July 11. Only 61 PA, so way too early to tell if he's figured something out or just hot.

15k for those wondering. 24.6% is good by his standards though.

                      How about his walk %?

Also, I feel that Nappo should be promoted. I don't know what type of prospect he is but he should be done there.

bb% is at 13.1% during this stretch

                        Season:
                        2008: bb-7.4% k-26.1% (GCL)
                        2009: bb-6.3% k-31.8% (Gboro)
                        2010: bb-7.4% k-30.4% (Gboro)
                        2011: bb-7.8% k-32.9% (Jax)
                        2012: bb-7.7% k-30.4% (Jax)

                        2012 splits
                        RH: .242/.299/.458 BB-6.7% K-27.4%
                        LH: .141/.245/.259 BB-10.2% K-37.8%

Way too early to assume anything, but at least he's having a nice stretch. For once.

We need to start seeing more starts like this from James.

Oh, and Brian Flynn had a relatively nice debut.
