Bengie Molina re-signs with the Giants for one year, $4.5 million.

i know, small sample size and shit, but i was a little bit scared that he would sign with the mets, and play agains the marlins 18 times. the dude is a .962 against the marlins, and i would be able to listen to rich and tommy say "bengie molina, the marlins-killer, blah blah blah blah" 18 times

Bad move for the giants though, Posey will be ready soon

Talk about a difference in thinking, the Giants and Tim Lincecum are $5 million apart in salary figures. San Fran is offering $8 million while Lincecum wants $13 million. Ouch! Someone is not going to be happy when that gets decided on by the arbitors.

I was talking about this earlier today, and I'm no Lou, but the rationale was that if the first year of arbi was something like 40% of an open market FA contract (this was for discussion purposes) , 13 mil for Lincecum is still a very very good value.

The funny thing is the Mets offered at least $1 million more and a player option for 2011. The reputation that organization must have around the league at this point is unreal.
