Josh Johnson has given up five runs and seven hits in two innings tonight. He is 1-5 with a 5.16 ERA with a 1.49 WHIP. His BB and K per 9 are all about the same, it's just he's giving up a ton of hits this year. (10.3 compared to a 8.2 career.) I wonder what kind of contract he's gonna get. He's making $13.75 this year.

I think he still gets a good contract. He's young and still has great stuff and great peripherals. I imagine he either gets a high 1 year contract or a solid 3ish year contract. He's a big risk vs big reward guy, with not just lack of performance but injury issues as well for risk. But that reward is huge and he's still only 29.

As someone who thought it would have been best to keep him and trade him at the deadline since I thought he'd have a rebound year, I'm already eating crow in regards to him though.
