The Cincinnati Reds are talking to the Blue Jays about the possibility of acquiring infielder Scott Rolen in exchange for minor-league prospect Yonder Alonso. The first baseman is a product of the University of Miami and carries a big bat. He was the Reds' first pick (seventh overall) in the 2008 draft.
that'd be a nice haul for Toronto. Very nice."You owe it to yourself to find your own unorthodox way of succeeding, or sometimes, just surviving."

Something is definitely going down. Josh Willingham, about 45 minutes before the start of Thursday afternoon's game, has been pulled from the lineup. I know this much: acting GM Mike Rizzo, who's back in DC right now, just placed a call to Jim Riggleman. Not sure what's going to emerge here, but I'll post asap.

OK, so I just got word that Josh Willingham was pulled from the lineup because of a stiff neck, not a trade. He'll even be available to pinch hit. So, apologies for raising the flags on this one. It seemed suspicious, that he was scratched about 45 minutes before the first pitch this afternoon. But Willingham, for now, is still a member of the Washington Nationals.Originally posted by Matt WilsonFish and Chips just became the smartest man on the board
