Another huge factor is home ballparks. While it's true that the Tigers are in the AL, they do have a pitchers park. The same can't be said of Wrigley.

Last season, it was more of a hitters park than Wrigley.

Yeah. It is an overpay, but if guys like Victorino and Napoli can get what they got, then Sanchez certainly deserves this.
