Both Chicago teams have changed closers.

The Cubs took Marmol out of the closers role after he failed to convert his third of 5 saves. Cubs will use rookie Rafael Dolis and lefty James Russell in closing situations.

The White Sox are putting Chris Sale (3-1, 2.81 ERA as a starter this year) into the closers role on the south side. Sale is reported to not be happy about the switch.

Sale also has elbow soreness, so this is probably for the best.
