Can you imagine what it would be like to live in Cuba for 20 something years and then come here, be taken to Prime 112/Joes where you'll probably spend in one meal more than you make in a year in Cuba and then sign a multi million dollar contract?
That must be awesome.

Cuban defector Yoenis Cespedes is scheduled to land in Miami Tuesday afternoon. According to an American League source from a club that’s been monitoring his free agency, the Marlins likely will be his future employer.
Cespedes is expected to meet with club officials Wednesday. Though the U.S. Treasury’s Department of Foreign Assets Control must unblock Cespedes before he can play professionally here, he is able to negotiate and come to terms with the club of his choosing. Team President David Samson last week said they were aggressively negotiating with Adam Katz, Cespedes agent from the Wasserman Media Group.
The AL source said all indications are the Marlins have the inside track to land the outfielder who many believe is the most talented player to come out of the island nation. In addition to the Marlins, the Tigers, Cubs and White Sox are among the teams reported to have the most interest.
The Tigers after signing Prince Fielder to a nine-year, $214 million offer likely won’t make an aggressive move for Cespedes, the source said. He said the Cubs have as much interest in fellow Cuban defector Jorge Soler and ultimately may choose to make a stronger run at him. Two other teams to monitor in the Cespedes sweepstakes are the Orioles and Athletics, who joined the fray in the last few weeks.
Katz on MLB Network Radio on Sirius/XM last weekend said he anticipates Cespedes will be ina team’s camp for the start of spring training.
