He's probably one of the 25 best everyday players in the league right now, but probably towards the bottom of that list. That's not a guy you pay $113 million for his age 30-37 seasons.
I honestly think I'd take my chances with guys like Trout and Harper, who are unbelievably young, skilled, performing, and project to be very good defensive players, than a guy like Braun, whose ceiling is basically a 6 win player.
At the worst, they're no worse picks than Braun, in my opinion, and there's probably a dozen players in the league who weren't selected that I'd take over Braun.poop

I don't think contracts should be taken into consideration. In a fantasy world where all the players are available to be taken, I'm not getting Milwaukee's contract.
And yeah, you take a top 25 player before you take an unproven one. If you want to argue taking them over a marginal player or reliever (Ramos and Feliz) fine, but not Braun.

Contracts weren't taken into account however doesn't explain how Matt Kemp, Jay Bruce, Ryan Zimmerman, Miguel Cabrera, Adrian Gonzalez and hell even Hosmer didn't get picked over Ramos.
Tommy Hanson and Jered Weaver are also better picks if you're going the Pitcher route.

I also think this would be a cool idea if we did a fantasy draft among the members here on the board and then do a vote after, or has that been done before and failed?
Or is it just a bad idea all together?
