I saw this on another site.

The proposed 3 team trade would look like this.
Houston sends Roy Oswalt, Jeff Keppinger and 7.5 million to Philly

Houston sends J.R. Towles to Tampa Bay

Philadelphia sends Jason Werth and an unnamed prospect to Tampa Bay

Tampa Bay sends Wade Davis, Reid Brignac and Matt Moore to Houston

Philly sends Jonathan Singleton and Jarrod Cosart to Houston

Phillies and Rays get raped in this scenario, this has to be bogus.

Heck I'll happily trade Nolasco, Ross, and Cantu for the package of players that Houston is supposedly receiving.

Yeah, the Rays would be insane to do that deal.

Oswalt says he'll only accept deal if his 2012 $16mil option is picked up by the team before the deal.

          Can't see that happening

Angels acquired infielder Alberto Callaspo from the Royals for RHP Sean O'Sullivan and LHP Will Smith.
O'Sullivan has enjoyed success in the majors at an early age and Smith has risen quickly through the minor leagues, but this is a move that makes sense for the Angels. Third basemen have hit just .214 in Anaheim this season and Callaspo will bring immediate stability to the position. He was batting .275/.308/.410 with eight homers and 43 RBI in 349 at-bats for the Royals. Jul. 22 - 6:55 pm et

Wonder what that means for their interest in Jorge

So a 22 yr old ML Ready SP and a 21 yr old LOOGY in AAA for Callaspo? Looks like we can get a nice haul for Cantu

                And now this...

                Red Sox Acquire Jack Hannahan
By Mark Polishuk [July 22 at 5:34pm CST]
Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe writes that "various reports" have indicated that Boston has acquired Jack Hannahan from Seattle in exchange for either money or a player to be named later. Pawtucket Red Sox radio announcer Dan Hoard was the first to break the news via his Twitter feed.

Hannahan has a .658 OPS in 981 career major league plate appearances with Detroit, Oakland and Seattle, though the injury-plagued Red Sox no doubt value Hannahan's versatility over his bat. Hannahan has played at least 10 games at shortstop, third base and second base this season for Triple-A Tacoma, and also has significant experience playing first in both the minors and majors. He has spent the entire season in Tacoma and was actually designated for assignment by the Mariners last month.

Rumors are floating around that Greinke may be available. He hates big places like New York and all the big name cities, because of his phobia. Miami would be the perfect place for him. I actually would be ok with dealing LoMo and others for him. I know it's not gonna happen, just sayin.

DeJesus being out really helps the Marlins in their attempt to trade Cody.

Ordonez Out 6-8 Weeks, Option Will Not Vest
By Zach Links [July 24 at 8:06pm CST]
Tigers slugger Magglio Ordonez will be out for 6-8 weeks with a broken right ankle, according to Ed Price of AOL Fanhouse (via Twitter). The injury could prove to be costly for Ordonez as he needs 540 plate appearances or 135 starts in order for his 2011 option to vest.

I'm sure them coming out of nowhere + them being bad last season has a lot to do with it...

But for all the crap the Marlins get for drawing dick, the Reds are drawing 23K a game and no one talks about it.

(Hopefully they have been drawing well in recent weeks. It's not easy to average 30-33K a game with a small season ticket base to build on.)
