Castro & Bour aren’t “cut them for nothing” guys.

Ziegler & Tazawa won’t be missed. Barraclough won’t be missed much either considering the bullpen depth in the organization.

JT would make for a massive difference if he’s traded.

i wasnt referring to castro and bour. I figured that was clear that i was referring to ziegler and tazawa.

        • That throw by Ureña that led to the Phillies second run was inexcusable.

I like that Urena has really gone deeper now this year a few times, and he's gotten better and even the games where he hasnt been good he hasnt completely blown up like he used to. And his numbers are getting better after a rough few starts.

Could've been even better were it not for the dumb throw to 1B.

I agree, he's been looking better lately.

im in the middle of finals so i havent even watched more than an inning or 2, i was just going off the numbers. im gonna look at his splits cause it seems like he gets into trouble in the first inning a lot.

Also- completely random but im listening to the bill simmons podcast and stanton and ramos are actually rooming together in NYC? I thought that was a joke. the fuck is stanton doing? He should be spending more on his living than ramos makes in a year.

ya he doesnt seem to have much control early on in the games.

If one or 2 of these guys can take another step and become even a #2 instead of a #3 or 4 we can really be looking positive.

tazawa is so bad its absurd

its really only a matter of time before he gets DFA'd.

This is why I've always thought it will be on the lower end than than higher. If we have 40 wins by trade deadline, we won't finish with more than 50 at the most. But I still think historic low is a probability. Jeter (even though he will never say it) wants that 1st pick and he'll sabatoge the roster at the end of the year to get it. He's a competitor, and even in a reverse role of losing to win, he'll do it.

Cincinnati up next lets see if they can win this series or find a way to lose to the worst team in MLB right now.

who would have thunk that you'd come back with unrelenting cynicism.

also, funny how 35 wins total has now shifted to "if we have 40 wins by the all star break." Fangraphs now has us at 65 projected wins.

Ya he isn't in "game shape" yet so trying to get him regular AB's. He is gonna get AB's a 2B/SS/3B

makes sense. he's not really a prospect, but he is a younger guy and hasnt played in close to a year so might as well let him develop playing every day rather than as the backup SS getting ab's intermittently up here.

I'm a product of 25 seasons of mostly heartache, and most of Miami feels the same way. Look at the attendance. LOL. I didn't start out as a cynical Marlins fan, but until they do something, it is what it is.

Too bad if you don't like it.

i dont blame you for feeling that way at all, i blame you for letting it cloud your judgment consistently for the outlook of this team and your projection for this year of 35 wins when that is patently absurd for anyone to predict for even a AAA team in the majors if you have even the slightest idea or did the slightest research into how unbelievably hard it would have to be to be that bad.

                              • Do we need to keep having the same back and forth debate over and over?

Maddawg is cynical and thinks we'll have 35 wins.

                                Fish isn't and thinks we'll have ~60ish.

We'll find out at the end of the year who was right. Done. Enough.
