It’s almost as if every trade Bendix made wasn’t terrible like you’ve told us 47 times!

trotting out a rotation of Sandy, Eury, Weathers, Meyer, and Cabrera for a couple months would be cool with Mazur and Snelling as depth and White and Noble meyer a year behind them.

Eury Perez and Ryan Weathers have begun their rehab assignments. Perez may be able to beat the initial timeline of returning by the all star break

very small sample but after grading out -4.0 defensively according to fangraphs measurement last year, Norby is .6 this year in the few games he has played. IF he can be a positive defensively or just average at 3b that's a big development. His next step is walking more. no walks thus far since he's come back.

Mazur should be next in line and then Snelling soon after that. I'd imagine the guy they brought up when they sent gillispie down is just an innings eater until the next time that turn in the rotation comes up.

After going so long with absolute garbage at the catcher position, it's so nice to have two legitimate catching prospects in the system.

There seems to be real development at all levels right now between Alderman, Mack the last 2 years, Stowers and Conine at the big league level, Sanoja, The development of these guys year to year seems to be getting better, though it could just be bringing in better and more talented pieces.

My concern at this point is if they are just moving from a pitching strength to a hitting strength and we are just right back in the same situation with an unbalanced team. Hopefully white and the 2 meyers and snelling make some noise up here, plus eury and weathers. And if Sandy doesnt get back to his old self this year, id just hold onto him. There is no rush to trade him. I hope they dont trade him at his lowest value.
It's definitely still early, but it's encouraging to see some hitting development finally.

I'm not sure I'd be overly worried about moving from pitching to hitting strength. They badly needed hitting, so that was a focus. But you mentioned Eury, White, Snelling, Meyer, and Weathers. That's 5 pitchers who should be here for a while. On top of that you have Cabrera, Garrett, Fulton, and Mazur. While none of them may be front line guys, if a couple are even decent back end guys that would be good. In the lower levels you have Nobel Meyer and Keyner Benitez who both have significant upside, and could end up with something from guys like Aiden May, Keven DeFrank, or Karson Milbrandt.
