just watching adames this series, he would be a major upgrade this offseason. just as good if not better defensively, really good potential offensively. not sure about the extension, but definitely worth a call for a trade for next year. what do you give up though? Our pitching "depth" is gone. fulton injured has no value, meyer we need next year and might be enormous either as a starter or closer at some point, and then you cant trade noble meyer or white until next year.

fuck, arraez hurt his ankle. sucks for him not only for the timing, but just personally the fact that his parents are watching him for the first time as a big leaguer in person sucks. arraez seems like an awesome dude, and he has been incredible all season long. pablo is a great guy as well. It's so rarely you see a trade of two great dudes work out so well for both sides. we could have definitely used pablo this year, but we wouldnt be here without arraez.

i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is going to come down to the last 2 days of the season, and it seems like this is going to go down to the last 2 games of the year being bullpen games with sandy and eury's injuries. just brutal luck.
Looking like the last 3 will be luzardo, cabrera, and garrett???? how is this going to play out? what a teamLast edited by fish16; 09-23-2023, 06:50 PM.

looking now, it''s luzardo, cabrera, and garrett for the last 3. it's the mets series that's the issue. Cabrera is going to be the barometer for whether we make the playoffs or not for these last 7. just unreal. he's been so inconsistent all year, but it is what it is. i saw cabrera in the only spring game i went to. he looked unhittable. that was 6 months ago and so much has changed. It's crazy how long this year is. what a crazy ride it has been. whatever happens, happy to have enjoyed it with all of you despite the ups and downs and fights. we're all rooting for the same thing. crazy that it comes to this. we might need weathers or cueto to be big here, if not, we're very much fucked. 7 games left. i think we need 5-2, or 4-3 with help from very good brewers and braves teams that have already clinched and have nothing to play for. it might be to just clinch an extra 3 games, but it's big for this franchise. lets go boys. next week should be fun.
