I know I’m scoreboard watching 3 weeks too early but let me have fun.

I think I am on Edwards watch. What in the actual fuck is going on with that?

Who cares. He’s a mediocre pitcher. Would he have helped us? Yes. If you count on him? Good luck. I hope we face him going down the stretch

Maybe Cueto holds up, Cabrera comes back and is solid, or Rogers comes back last 2-3 weeks, but Lorenzen is really solid. I wouldn't be so dismissive here and be hopeful the Marlins play him down the stretch. I'd love to have him right now and that's ignoring the no hitter.

He would have been a huge upgrade to the staff to trickle down the SP to the bullpen to be 1 time through guys.

That would have a lot of effects beyond just that production, including preserving the bullpen which did get over worked April - June but they seem to be slipping back into form, and maybe turning Cabrera into a 1 time through guy max effort ROS so you dont worry about the pitch count at all and let him throw bullets. Plus whether one agrees or not, Eury and - Luzardo - are going to have some innings limitations coming up as they are going to hit their upper thresholds in mid-September. And injury depth, etc.
You aren't wrong to have pointed out kicking those innings to Cueto is a bad idea, and yea so far he's done "fine" so it hasn't killed them yet. But we really have to hope that continues. Per Lorenzen, that's not a bet I would take and would have really tried to get a SP like him. He'd be really really really useful.
