tanner scott has become absolutely filthy. lets win this game.

To recall a few posts back, Scott has made $6m his career and looking at a $4.5ish or whatever tender next year. Maybe more if he has a screaming 6 weeks to end it here.

This might actually be a real good bet to get the guy $18-21m over 3 years here to get 2 FA years. Puk isn't going to be expensive moving forward, neither is Nardi, Okert, Brazoban, and Chargois for next year. They have a lot of FV40 types (Maldonado, Hoeing, Bender, etc.) behind them. Plus you can see a Meyer or Cabrera bullpen conversion if health/control becomes a thing. This is a real modest potential deal for what Scott has become compared to other guys in FA (Montero, etc.). Even if he regresses, it's not a terrible contract for the Marlins to have on the books.

If you are Scott, $20m guaranteed on top of the $6m you made is forever money. You can bet on yourself to make more and get to free agency and maybe there is some hefty 4 year deal if you kill it in 2024, but I don't know how a volatile reliever passes up that. I think we may have to add him to Luzardo, Arraez, and Eury as the *must* extensions this offseason (and Jazz if you think he will be healthy). Unless he just becomes the trade bait himself for a bat.

it's also completely unnecessary. it has not made sense for years to have everyone at home immediately see what the correct call is but we still rely on the geriatric behind home plate for the call? When bad umpires have 0 consequences for bad performance. make it make sense.

Absolutely huge. That’s the best Robertson has looked for us since he’s been here.

this is the robertson we expected. huge fucking win. Huge comeback. Starting to get a little bit of that magic back. We are however allowed to score runs in the middle innings contrary to popular belief. Robertson getting outs in the 9th really stabilizes the bullpen. Puk has looked much better last few times out as well. Bullpen starting to come together, eury is back, and bell is making an impact. Just need burger to get hot and get the hell out of this schedule in august alive.

Just a HUGH fokken road win!

Luzardo, Sandy, and then Eury at home in front of expected close to sold out crowds in Miami for the yankees. Rodon went on the IL so only Cole and Cortes scheduled for them so far. I think im going to go to my first game Sunday for Eury vs Cole. Need 2 of 3. They are struggling more than us. We can really do some damage with a sweep.
