I'm not sure the difference between Wendle and Hampson changes the bottom line. Practically, Wendle should be a 1-2 day a week player against RHP starters.

I think I like Hampson more as a bench guy with his ability to play OF.

why are we acting like wendle is some righty killer. The guy has a fucking .234 average and a .598 OPS this year against righties with a 46/9 K/BB ratio. He is awful. He had a .671 OPS against righties in 300 ab's last year too. He sucks. He isnt a good player regardless of righty or lefty.

Was I the only one on the forum that was aware prior to the Arraez double that Stallings is the SLOWEST BASEBALL PLAYER EVER?

I ask this because how was that play Stallings fault and not the 3rd base coach?

Here’s what Stallings did:

-ran as fast as he could
-picked up the 3rd base coach as early as he could and kept running as fast as he could
-didn’t slide because no one motioned for him to do so

How could a 3rd base coach who has ever watched Stallings “run” think he could ever ever ever score from 1B on a double? I can’t believe I watched that happen.

exactly. There were also no outs. Also, he needs to slide there, but whoever is behind the plate tonight did a fucking great job faking him out not acting like the ball was being thrown home.

i dont see how you can keep wendle around at this point. He is a pretty average defender. He's not bad, but the defense isnt anywhere close to good enough to justify keeping his completely worthless bat. Garrett hampson has a 105 WRC+ this year, he has earned his spot. Wendle is a free agent after the year anyway. It's a sunk cost, he needs to be DFA'd after tonight.
