Davis had a flyout to the track as well.

        • Davis stallings hampson is just such a laughably bad part of a major league lineup. Would be a bad aaa lineup as well

          • sandy has given up just 4 Er’s fewer than last year already at in 138 fewer innings

                  • Alcantra is a pitch to contact pitcher who, even in his Cy year, gave up his fair share of hits and isn't a big K guy(and even last year pitched way above where his peripherals said he should have been statistically).

It shouldn't be shocking that he is struggling to adapt to the pitch clock and shift being made illegal.

Hopefully he can make the adjustments necessary. He still has flashes.

Sandy had 207 k’s last year. He is not a pitch to contact guy

                      • Sanchez 2B was a HR in 16/30 parks, and Cooper's 2B in 15/30 parks. Davis fly out expected BA of .610 so a very good defensive play. DLC should probably have gotten a hit on his lineout but a 50/50 play there.

So they should have 2-3 more runs minimum, but Sandy is getting worked and it is fair so who cares. He sucks. They should skip his next turn of the rotation and give him a breather. He needs a reality check at this point to reset.

                        • Yet again with sandy, it’s one big inning. It’s crazy at this point how many bad starts he’s had and how few of them have been just complete shellackings from first pitch to last pitch. He is consistently giving up huge innings.

im telling you, the only change in his peripherals since last year are the numbers with runners on.
He is tipping his pitches from the stretch

                          • Even outside of todays second inning, it’s 5 scoreless, 4 hits, 4 k’s 2 walks.

                            • Today, 7 of the 10 hits so far are with runners on. His numbers with the bases empty are even better than last year

There is absolutely no way the entire league has figured out he's tipping his pitches in the stretch except for the Marlins in Mid-June. There is definitely something to him having struggles specifically out of the stretch, but to me, it has to be either mechanical, or mental.
