the miami marlins arent benching a guy making 8 million. Burger is apparently going to play 1b, 3b, and maybe a little 2b according to mish.

Conflicted on this one. Burger definitely helps but kinda feels like we gave up more to spend less. Burger reminds me a little bit of a right handed Justin Bour. Hopefully he has more good seasons in him than Bour did.

Jake Burger has a .225 BABIP this year with an expected slash of .252/.313/.528. No smoke an mirrors right now - he is underachieving.

This is highly unexpected to me the CHW would move this guy when they are tearing down. He has 5 more years of control. Probably longterm 1B/DH but maybe dabbles at 3B for this year. Probably expendable as they believe in Vaughn more and see the defensive writing on the wall. I think we might see Arraez at 2B for a bit and they take the overwhelming offense over the defense.

This is worth Eder to me. This guy is going to really mash unless the strikeout bottom completely drops out but the must feel comfortable with this.


Still need 1 more bat and arm minimum but this is definitely a positive start with 1 hour to go lol

if you watch some highlights of burger, he hits the absolute shit out of the ball. If they can improve the k rate a little he becomes a serious asset with his team control. This is the cost of not being able to develop hitters.

avisail garcia is going to play every day against lefties. he's literally batting cleanup tonight. funny enough is first game back was probably the best he's looked in his 2 years here.

This team we have now could use a right-handed Justin Bour when Bour was good for us. We had no real power other than Soler, who is probably leaving next year.

Jean Segura can play every day now against lefties only as I originally suggested. Because that’s what he is now— a platoon hitter at best.
