Just a great first at bat for Bleday in the ninth. He swung at the strikes and took the balls, resulting in a walk and much needed runner aboard.. On the other hand, Aguilar and Garcia did what they've been doing all season - they swung at pitches well out of the zone. They just aren't professional hitters.
Based on what I've seen, Yiddi Cappe is the prospect most likely to star in the future.

Count me in on wanting to see nothing but the kids the rest of the year everyday. Fortes, Bleday, lewin, Leblanc, burdick in September for a taste, and then once luzardo and Cabrera are ready soon a rotation of sandy, Pablo, Garrett, luzardo, and Cabrera and hopefully Meyer is not a tj waiting to happen and he can come back and pitch out of the bullpen to be safe. Seems like tj is inevitable for him though. The worst thing would be him coming back, seeming healthy going into spring, and then hurting the elbow again and missing even more time. If it’s even borderline just do the tj as quickly as possible.
if they wait till spring and he needs it, he’s out all of next year, probably half of 2024, and then is treated with baby gloves until 2026. Just an absolute worst case scenario for a guy who clearly is a middle of the rotation guy or better

Cody Poteet and Jeff Brigham appear to be the same pitcher. Injury riddled former starters with promise if they can ever stay healthy. Brigham has been in the organization for going on 8 years. So long ago that the way we acquired him was for mat latos and marlins legend Michael morse.

trevor rogers is awful. send the fucking guy down already when cabrera and luzardo come back. he's been straight up terrible all year. there hasn't been a single stretch of quality pitching all year. let him go down for a few starts, work on some things, dominate hopefully, come back for a few starts to end the year, and then try again next year.

At what point do some of our starting pitchers become high leverage relievers since we apparently have so many starters?
Trevor Rogers doesn’t look like a starter this year (and really started showing some signs of this the 2nd half of last year).
He seems like the type of guy who would be Andrew Millerish out of the pen. Why not give it a try, especially with Braxton Garrett emerging?
