I don't think Yimi's status is on Mattingly. This is on the FO, you've already said it. They built the bullpen like a team that felt that they had no chance of competing this year. Just throw shit at the wall and see what sticks, while spending as little money as possible. That's not going to get it done.

agreed but they can both be at fault. What is the rationale behind yimi being unavailable today? Was it a workload thing because if so that is absurd. If you cant pitch an inning 3 out of 4 days as our best bullpen arm there is a serious issue

Yimi went more than 1 inning in one of those outings. Threw a lot of high stress pitches in Atlanta and it’s early in the season.

Floro’s been good early on but doesn’t really have a put away pitch and it’s kind of sad he’s our 2nd best reliever. At least Bass kind of looked better today.

We need a new catcher. Did you see Wallach almost have a passed ball on a fastball right down the middle in the 9th? Lol

Anyway, 5-7 not bad after the 1-6 start. Just have to start playing better at home.
