it's game 1 of the year, coming off a pandemic season where he didn't throw more than 50 innings, and he was due up 2nd. The fact that there is no DH for the NL is a joke. Manfred is an awful commissioner. Every decision he makes its like he's asking himself how can I make baseball less appealing and more boring. Between the strike zone not being automated for god knows what reason and the non DH, it makes the game actively worse.

it's game 1 of the year, coming off a pandemic season where he didn't throw more than 50 innings, and he was due up 2nd. The fact that there is no DH for the NL is a joke. Manfred is an awful commissioner. Every decision he makes its like he's asking himself how can I make baseball less appealing and more boring. Between the strike zone not being automated for god knows what reason and the non DH, it makes the game actively worse.

I still don't like pulling him but if you're going to, why not use a guy like Cooper who could change the game with one swing, instead of a near-automatic out like Sierra?

What are everyone’s thoughts about the picture quality of Bally’s vs Fox Sports Florida? I’m home now and I’m watching some of the game on DVR.

Starling Marte will be good this year but he looked like he had never swung a bat before today.

Didn’t notice a difference in picture quality

Did notice the awful score banner. Never seen one where the viewer has to move eyes all the way to the bottom of the screen. Very unnatural unlike the top or top corner.

He turns 28 in 2 months. His one decent season in the Majors came with a BABIP north of. 400 and he still struck out almost 40% of the time that year.

He is a decent defensive catcher who can't hit.

He is basically Miguel Olivo v2.

He does have all the tools, unfortunately his lack of plate discipline pretty much nullifies any offensive tools.

he has the plate discipline of miguel olivo on his worst day. he's awful and the fact that they didn't upgrade this offseason is a missed opportunity.
