Castano finished the year with a 3.03 ERA. That's pretty good.

I see a lot of Jarlin Garcia in Castano. Few whiffs but decent results. As a lefty, he may provide future value. In Castano's case, low velocity in the upper strike zone will always make you nervous however.
Garcia had a 3.03 ERA and very similar peripherals to Castano as a Marlin last season. After moving to the Giants, he put up a .49 ERA and sub 1.00 WHIP this season. Needless to say, he would have been helpful to the Marlins. Dismissing him was an obvious mistake and I hope the team doesn't do the same with Castano.Last edited by Lee Stone; 09-28-2020, 09:14 AM.

im just looking at the cubs stats for the year and holy hell did their incredibly talented lineup have a dismal 2 months. i still think their lineup terrifies me in that small park but rizzo, bryant, and especially baez all had bad years. Darvish and Hendricks might be better than our top 2 though. they are much more talented than us but our pitching can win us any game so this should be a fun series. i just really hate playing in wrigley.
Gotta root hard for the braves to lose 2/3 to the reds to because i wouldnt be looking forward to a 2nd round matchup with them.

won a futures bet on the heat to win the east last night for $1000. if the marlins win the nl i win like 1800 on a stupid $50 bet. if they win the world series i win 3000 on a $10 bet. So i could use a josh beckett like run from a few of our pitchers.

Which Marlins is gonna win ROY next year??
The shortened 60-game schedule created a unique dynamic for rookies in 2020.
Most notably, the short season meant a rookie could play in more than half of his team's games, but as long as he did not exceed 50 innings or 130 at-bats, he would still be eligible for the Rookie of the Year award in 2021.

Obviously he ranked our offense dead last as well.

he said our rotation's young arms have to turn the tide after a rough few starts and specifically named pablo on top of sixto. Pablo's last 3 starts- 17.1 IP, 19/5 K/BB ratio, 1.56 ERA. Sandys last 3 starts- 19.1 IP, 18/6 K/BB, 1.86 ERA, 0 HR's. Just the height of laziness by a guy who pretty clearly didnt take a single second to research our team.
