i have no idea why we are as big of an underdog tonight as it appears we are. gonna hammer the marlins. Sandy has been great lately

phillies have a 30 minute or so head start on our game time so if they lose it will very likely be before us so that if we win we will be able to celebrate right after the game.

Phillies have velasquez going against charlie morton for the rays. If we were able to clinch on the 4th anniversary of jose's death that would be something else...

Doing it tonight on the anniversary would be so fitting. Hope Alcantara throws a complete game.

Of all the matchups, the Cubs is the one I like the most.

Wallach is not that bad lol. He has come up big for us in a few games. I miss Cervelli tho.

I liked the moves with Monte and Sierra. I think we can really use them for speed later in the games.

Monte is a great speed weapon off the bench at the end of games. His stolen base efficiency his entire minor league career has been ridiculously high.

Out of all the teams i think i like the cubs the best with the padres right behind if clevinger is going to be out. None of their other pitchers scare me. Cubs lineup scares me but as long as we dont have to play the braves im cool. they absolutely demolish us consistently.

i really liked what mattingly did last night in terms of his bullpen usage. He seemed to treat it like a playoff game and did this crazy concept of not throwing our shittiest relievers out there in big spots.

I didn't really have a problem with the guys he used, but Pablo was rolling at 84 pitches. you get to the 8th inning and you've used everybody you want to use except Kintzler, Boxberger shits the bed and now Kintzler has to get 6 outs. He did it, but that was a lot to ask. Pablo goes another inning and you at least have 1 of Yimi/Hoyt/Bleier held back in case of what happened with Box.

I was at a sports bar that was only playing the dolphins game and the lakers game so i cant speak to how much pablo was cruising, i just liked how he didnt fuck around and use guys like castano, josh smith, etc.

Agreed - I didn't see the point in pulling Pablo when they did. He had another inning in him, but have a guy ready if he starts going off the rails.

I've been to a sports bar or two lately, and zero TVs in the whole building(s) have been on the Marlins games. Ridiculous.
