I like the looks of the lineup. Both Hanley and Stanton are in it for only the second time this season and Dobbs getting the start at third.

Volstad pitching today makes little sense to me.

This is normal days' rest with the day off yesterday for JJ; starting him tonight would mean he'd get the start Sunday, against the Phillies, as well.

I'd rather have JJ going against the two main teams in the division; let Volstad pitch tomorrow and then in Game 1 against the Pirates next week at home.

            Good lineup tonight, though.

Prolly limiting the guys innings early in the yr so they finish strong instead of breaking down like they did last yr.

Volstad's not a spot starter or anything, and he has a 3.65 career ERA against, Atlanta. We have a 5 man rotation and Volstad is one of the 5 in that rotation.

He'd face Atlanta, either way; the current scenario has him facing the Phillies, though. Career 4.45 ERA against Philadelphia/5.11 at Citizens Bank Park.

I'd much rather have the ace pitching on Sunday/twice this week. It's normal days rest.

Yeah that's not a bad idea but I don't mind getting JJ extra rest whenever possible.

I think you do that with some aces, but JJ isn't one of them.
