We won't if we want to keep a 40m salary

Have to remember have several guys hitting arbitration for the first, plus then those getting second year arbitration.

Just depends how high the FO will actually go.

          • I really hope this isn't one of those games where we score runs early in the game and do nothing offensively the rest of the game. Clearly, the Nationals are going to go down swinging, if at all.

            • Also NJ wants a two year contract but shouldn't get more than atleast a 1 year plus option contract. From the way people are talking I wouldn't be surprised if the LF/1B market takes another dive this offseason. So at that point we'd be in competition with the other 29 team in baseball with offering him some 1year/few mil contract. Which doesn't make it impossible for us, just that we then have competition if we don't want to overpay

And I really don't want Logan in LF :D

                Hanley SS
                Johnson 1B
                Ross RF
                Morrison LF
                Cantu 3B
                Baker/Platoon mate C
I'd rather have Uggla than Johnson next year considering LoMo is the same type of player as Johnson.

Both guys are about .800 OPS guys, Uggla will give you about 60 points higher slugging, and Johnson will give you about 60 points higher OBP, and considering I don't expect Maybin and Morrison to combine for as many HRs as Uggla usually puts up in a year I think he's the better fit.

Plus, Johnson has injury issues, and Uggla has really never gotten injured as a major leaguer.

Uggla is basically +/- 30 HRs

You don't think Maybin and Morrison can combined for 30 hrs?

I mean, if Morrison hits 20, that's just 10 for Maybin.

                      • I think they'll be around that. I certainly wouldn't expect more than that.

So you want the Marlins to go after a LFer in the free agent market? Or keep Hermida?

(I mean I'd prefer to keep Morrison out of LF too, but his bat at this point is too valuable even if he can only stand on the grass with a glove on his head.)

                            I wants Cousins/Maybin/Carroll

                            I want defense.

I'm tired of Beinfest being a little bitch crying about defense then doing stupid shit like sticking Coghlan in LF.

                            Well if money permits Cody/Maybin/Carroll

but Carroll needs to fucking start
