        Johnson 1B

If the lineup next includes all of those players, I think it will be:

        CF Maybin
        1B Johnson
        SS Hanley
        3B Cantu
        RF Ross
        2B Coghlan
        LF Morrison
        C Baker

However, CF is locked (Maybin), rf is locked (stanton), and we have a glut of OFers who atleast one should emerge that could produce close to his level and only make 300k (carroll, cousins, petersen, and maybe Raynor if he decides to stop being a dick). It's just not a position of need.
I'd like to see Carroll get a shot to start in 2010. Then come 2011 when Stanton is ready, the organization can decide between Ross and Carroll for that last outfield starting spot. If Carroll proves he's worthy of being a starter great, if not hopefully we can sign Ross to a reasonable deal. I like Cousins, Petersen, and Raynor, but none of those guys are even close to being a sure thing, but if one of those guys has a breakout season in 2010 then it's not a discussion.

            What I'd like to see:

            2010

            1. Maybin CF
            2. Morrison 1B
            3. Ramirez SS
            4. Uggla 2B
            5. Ross LF
            6. Baker C
            7. Coghlan 3B
            8. Carroll RF

            2011

            1. Maybin CF
            2. Morrison 1B
            3. Ramirez SS
            4. Stanton RF
            5. Ross/Carroll/Other LF
            6. Uggla/Coghlan 2B
            7. Baker C
            8. Dominguez 3B

Have to think that if Ross can be signed for a solid rate for that 3(+1) term deal, he would also have solid trade value if his stats hold based on his cost. That's, of course, assuming both Maybin and Morrison are well established major leagues starters and that Stanton can hold his own at the big league level when arriving.
