"5-4 fish!" does nothing for me in a spring game

Oh no? We're winning Beef. That should do a lot. This game means a ton.

If you don't care, why are you following the game?

Fine, Gaby Sanchez singled, went to second on a Wes Helms walk and scored on a Donnie Murphy single and ahead of Helms being thrown out at third. Better?

Does Strickland have any realistic shot for one of the rehab-a-vet bullpen spots? He fits the previous MLB experience -> injury -> decent '08/'09 rehab minor league campaign mold.
            Sanchez life

It doesn't worry you at all that Volstad's shit has been getting titty ripped for a little over a year now?

You open this door with the key of imagination.

Are you referring to the homers? I can't make a determination about that. Yes, he's given up 2 homers this spring but so has Ricky and I don't here anybody worried about him. He's also walked as many guys as Sanchez in the same number of innings.

It's spring training. Guys are working on stuff. Volstad is working on a slider. Guys are also trying to get stretched out. Volstad had a good first two innings and was getting some ground balls. He is also throwing more strikes than balls which is not the case with West or Miller.

It's spring training. He had almost 4 months to clear his head. Clean slate.

Likely not out of camp. He likely follows the Sanches/Miller/Gardner/ect role of starting the year in AAA, than coming up in late april/early may when guys start getting filtered out.

I know MacDougal can opt out of his contract if he doesn't make the team (Meaning he'd be the early favorite for a spot), I wonder if the same is for Veras/Turnbow/McClung.

As of now, this is what we know the bullpen is:

                            Leo Nunez
                            Brian Sanches
                            Renyel Pinto
                            Dan Meyer
                            Burke Badenhop

                            That gives two openings.

The problem is, I think Penn starts the year in the bullpen again. That's now only one open spot.

                            I really like Strickland though.

I like the use of "titty ripped" and I'm sad it didn't make it to the tags

Has Esteban left Miami student radio and taken Joe Z's job yet?
