According to Kurkijan, he said he's not completely sure on this but the reason Fredi might be on his way out is for his thinking out loud on wanting to go to ATL. He also said that Valentine would be great for us and he would request the FO to get us players to win and he would also push for our players to get contracts. If Valentine is coming here it would be on a multi-year deal worth atleast 2M per year and if he manages again he wants to go into the playoffs (that leaves the Nats out of this).

All of that makes me like Valentine and further convinces me he's not going to be a long-term fit with the organization. And by long term, I mean more than one year.
