trevor rogers supposedly coming up to start tomorrow. that's pretty damn surprising. i wonder why its taking so long for the rest of the rotation and bullpen guys to come back. we could really use neidert and sandy back ASAP

sterling sharp dfa and tarpley to the dl. surprising they dfa sharp but id guess he gets through waivers. he looked pretty bad the last few times out. Tarpley going down makes a lot more sense for rogers to be the call up. I wonder if they start rogers a game or just give him an outing out of the bullpen.

and lewin diaz was recalled with eddy alvarez back from the paternity list and optioned back to the minors. who is on the roster you ask? I have no god damn clue anymore at this point

apparently rogers is going to be starting the second game tomorrow. didnt realize we had another DH tomorrow. Mish just confirmed he will pitch but has to be delayed in order for it to be official because it requires a 40 man move and he needs to pass a rapid covid test when he gets there.

Mattingly says P Sixto Sanchez staying in the rotation. “We don’t plan on him going anywhere.”

We're gonna have some interesting decisions to make when everyone gets healthy, although with the amount of double headers we have maybe just going with a 6 man rotation makes sense.

lineup for tonight. im about done with mattingly as manager. the guy makes some of the worst lineup choices and in game subs ive ever seen. he'd be a great bench coach to have as a clubhouse presence but his lineups are just so awful its like he consistently tries to put the worst hitters in positions where they will be getting the most at bats.

some notes on todays game and the team in general right now-

Corey dickerson is on fire. Berti is not a good player. He should not be playing much at all on a good team. He's a 30 year old career minor leaguer who didnt all of a sudden become good last year as i said before this year.

Pablo lopez if he becomes our long term #3 is incredible. if edward cabrera and/or max meyer is as advertised our future rotation is going to be incredible with Sixto, Sandy, Meyer, Cabrera, Lopez. That's an incredible starting spot without even mentioning guys like neidert, rogers, garrett, and guys in the lower minors. and all 5 of those guys could realistically be in the rotation to start next year although id bet they take it slower with meyer given that we already have guys like neidert who have earned a shot to start next year

Jesus sanchez has been super impressive and the guy has one hit. his ab's are really solid nd he has hit the ball hard tonight. When it clicks for him he will be a stud. Might not be this year but its clear in just 5 games to me that he has what it takes to be a long term staple in our OF.

It’s been fun watching the modified season putting the Marlins in contention. This team is actually fun to watch again.

i get that they had covid and they have to be careful but how damn long does it take some of these guys to come back? Sandy alcantara was negative what, 10 days ago? its not like hes been out for 3 months. he was out for a couple weeks and his symptoms were reportedly not that serious. why is it taking so long for him and all those hitters like cooper and harold ramirez to come back

ya not going an extra inning with pablo makes no sense. he not only loves to trot out the bullpen but he falls in love with the worst arms in the bullpen for some reason. its infuriating

thats fair and its bigger than sports but they've all said they were fine and reportedly most were asymptomatic and only rojas and alfaro have come back in almost a full month since they all went down?

the marlins are in the win column. took 3 out of 5 on the road from the defending champs still down what, 15 players?

huge double header tomorrow. we gotta take advantage of those given that it helps limit our bullpens exposure if we get a decent outing.


Also, i think after tomorrow's game 2 in NY which is technically a home game we will have played 4 "home" games in other teams stadiums and only 6 actually in marlins park.

After talking to [MENTION=3]Party[/MENTION] and our IT team (of one person) we decided the best course of action is to upgrade vBulletin (the software we use now). IT tells us that while we will transfer over our posts and user accounts, we will not transfer over our plug-ins, so things like the new post counter, auto refresh, user tagging, etc, will not work at first, since the malware exploit is in a plug-in somewhere. We can then add plug-ins back in to the fresh install.

Big thanks to all of you who offered to help out with the cost. It will help tremendously. I want to purchase the license and before the upgrade because I don't want anyone thinking I'm just taking money and running with it. I'll provide payment info soon for those who wish to help.
