jesus sanchez had 1 hit all weekend and still impressed the hell out of me with his approach at the plate. that dude is going to be really good and i think could be a super nice #2 hitter or #5 hitter in the future. Plate discipline and strike zone awareness was evident.

Here's the deal with the site you guys. Can't figure out what the issue is. Best guess is, it's that stupid malware we've had for years that sometimes redirects to a spam site. I think Chrome is flagging that as compromised on desktop.
We've tried for years to get the malware off and it doesn't seem to work.
If this ends up being the cause, we have a few options.
1) Do an upgrade and a fresh install of vBulletin. This is going to cost us $250. I would not really want to shoulder the burden of this cost myself, so I'd ask for folks to pitch in.
2) Switch away from vBulletin to a different forum software. This would also cost some money, likely close to what option 1 costs.
3) Switch to a free forum software. Monetarily this is the best choice, but it does come with some concerns. We may lose our post history, and even if it transfers the formatting could be off. We may also lose accounts and folks might have to re-register. Design would be simpler and less custom. And finally, it would definitely mean the loss of "features." The main one that I think gets used most frequently is the auto-refresh of threads. I'd have to pay our IT guy (or at least offer to pay him -- he's a friend and he's hosted us for free for a decade) but I'll do that out of pocket.
4) Close down shop.
Up to you all -- wanted to get your opinions before making a decision. Would prefer avoiding 4.

Thanks daft
Been thinking about the options and I actually think it probably makes sense to try 3 first if it doesn't negate our trying 1 or 2 if things go haywire. Hugg converted a forum to a free one years ago, didn't lose posts or accounts, but I've read it could happen. Side note, auto refresh may actually be possible, I'm not sure. Tech stuff like this isn't really in my wheelhouse.Originally posted by Madman81Most of the people in the world being dumb is not a requirement for you to be among their ranks.
