Curious to see Yamamoto pitch. Thought he was a lock for the rotation, and he didn't even make the team, and I never heard anything about why that was.

weird how mattingly wouldnt commit to him starting game 2 yet. he said they will determine after game 1 and that it might be a bullpen game.

i think having to add all these bullpen arms might work out in our best interest for the rest of the year. look at nick vincents numbers for his career other than last year. reminds me of some of those reclamation projects we had a bunch of in the late 2000s and early 2010s

great job by the pen so far. 1 more inning lets go. mattingly in the last two games reminds me of trader jack in 2003 kinda just winging it with relievers.

my only guess would be just keeping whatever familiarity cervelli has with kintzler. i doubt lavarnaway has much with anyone.

one guy (or maybe 2) who i would like to see up here ASAP are jesus sanchez and lewin diaz. i think their bats are pretty close to mlb ready (lewin more than jesus) but i think both could hold their own and contribute up here already. Especially lewin at 1b/dh a 4-5 times a week against righties.

agreed. they found some really nice arms in vincent and bleier. along with kintzler and boxburger thats a decent enough back end.

i really wish isan didnt opt out now though and i wonder if he might be regretting it already. did anything ever get explained why he did that other than just being scared with all those covid cases? Any risky people at home
