I hate to see any individual get sick. From a baseball standpoint though, losing any of the relievers we have isn’t a big deal. I guess some of the backend guys are better than what would be filling in for them, but I don’t think we a lights out reliever on the team. And signing 2 relievers has to mean that a couple of relievers got it unless if they’re planning to bullpen some games moving forward.

I noticed how you disappeared from his thread after we made our big comeback yesterday.

Yes I was working yesterday from 4pm to near 9pm at the Miami Rescue Mission feeding people who are homeless & counseling them as well & getting their story so I can help them get the helping hand they need to get back on their feet. I'm sorry if I couldn't banter back & forth with you on the internet, I happen to feel a better place was to be helping others that are not as fortunate as yourself.

Good lord, if the way you act on this board is any indication of how you are in real life you're the last person who should be doing that sort of thing.

There’s gonna be some very negative and pessimistic homeless people shortly

            • They have a few more claims in on DFA guys with Jose Siri/Gamboa/Cuthbert/RP. Folty was DFA by Atlanta today

Harrison and Brinson are getting called up

Miami is still trying to get the "waiver" and if they do we could see Lavarnway,Josh A Smith,Alvarez,Vincent up

They added RP because thats what was out there. About 7 guys are in DFA limbo and they just need bodies

Brightside of this situation is we might find a needle or 2 in the haystack-would have been nice if it happened 2 days earlier since 6 or so guys got optioned

Why ? Because instead of kissing Marlins management's ass I talk from a fan's perspective ? I mean this present situation.....if any team could have embarrassed themselves with a covid outbreak, its fitting it's the sad-sack red-headded step child franchise, the Marlins.

I’d totally take a shot on Folty, but it sounds like the Braves should be able to trade him.

As far as I know, there’s no evidence the Marlins necessarily did anything wrong here. That’s like blaming New York for having the first big outbreak in the country. It was going to happen to someone...The Marlins just happened to be first. Ultimately, this will likely happen on other teams throughout the season.

I didn't blame anyone, it's just the way the world works, if I was to pick a team a month ago that this would happen to, it would have been the Marlins - it's just the way life works for them.....they usually lose trades, their high draft picks more often than not either get traded away & become starters on other teams or they are just duds as players, so of course the Marlins would be the team this would happen too...it's like when you see a crazy news story, 9 times out of 10 the byline will mention "(somewhere) Florida"

you dont talk from a fans perspective, you talk from a cyncical asshole who is letting 25 years of prior ownership's failures cloud your judgment over every single thing you say about this current rebuild. you are not only cynical and pessimistic you are also wildly uninformed about everything you talk about.

Hell just yesterday you said our bats are so far behind our pitches that we will have to trade the pitchers when the bats are ready. that is just fundamentally uninformed. WE have literally a quality mlb starter or a borderline top 100 prospect or better at every single position except catcher, and all of those prospects will be ready within two years. literally every single position. if anything our bats might be ahead of our pitching given that everyone aside from maybe bleday will likely make their debut this year at some point if we actually play.

1b- Diaz has gotten delgado comps and has legit star level pure power.
2b- Diaz was a top 100 guy who is no longer a prospect
                      SS_ JAzz is top 100
3b- Anderson is a legitimately good mlb 3b
OF- Bleday is top 100. Sanchez is top 100. Monte is borderline top 100. And then you still have the remainder of our OF prospects like Jerar Encarnacion, Burdick, Misner, Scott, etc.

You dont come from a fans perspective, youcme from a jaded cynical douchebags perspective. I dont want to hear shit from you when this team becomes a sustainable winner in a year or 2. just leave the fucking board you bring nothing.

we should definitely be all over folty on the waiver wire. that would be a great buy low get. if anything he becomes another potential bullpen arm but he was legit good 2 years ago and was good down the stretch last year.

Your response tells me deep down you believe I could be right right, and your lashing out is just as childish as one of tRump's temper tantrums.

Bleday never sees a day in a Marlins uniform, he will probably debut in a Yankee's, Dodger or Braves uniform. This ownership doesn't want to really win, but to just be a farm feeder for the real teams that want to contend. Until they field a team that can have a winning season I won't be convinced.

They can make more $$$ if they remain low payroll and trade assets for prospects --- sustainability is not an athletic term, but an economic one, and since the opening press conference and they said that I knew it was going to Loriaesque just maybe smarter.

                        • 4 more positives TODAY

They still plan on playing tommorrow a DH and seems MLB is really considering the waiver(Marlins are asking to be able to add guys who are on 60 man pool to ML roster than when Rona guys are back they can be sent down to minor league camp WITHOUT being DFA or anything)

14 guys on 30 man roster
                          4 or 5 DFA guys
7-10 MilB FA/60 man pool guys
                          Monte/Brinson/Yamamoto

This is gonna be fun as hell to watch for 2 weeks

Apparently there were 4 new positives and 1 player that tested positive yesterday that came back negative. He will have to test negative again to be eligible to play. I wonder if there will be more false positives like that one.

No, my response should tell you that you’re a moron. You’re still going with this idiotic bleday thing? Whatever dude enjoy your miserable existence, but stop counseling people as you’ll probably do nothing but make them as miserable as you

Per source, Marlins plan to remain in Philadelphia after 4 more players test positive. It's in MLB's hands to determine whether team plays tomorrow in Baltimore.
