Trevor Rogers coming to the majors at 22 years old and striking out 10+ people is incredible. He was known as a great prospect but I doubt anybody thought he was this ready for the top league already.

Really beneficial that the team is flush with pitchers...like the Marte trade we have future pieces to help fix the lineup with too.

The Marlins offense is tied with Arizona for 27th/28th ranked offense. I thought the front office understood that upgrading the offense was a priority to compete, it's a shame to have the 11th best pitching staff and then to have a front offense so bad it can't figure out how to put together some bats....why is it that Tampa can figure this out ? And you guys are still lauding Brinson

and they spend a whole draft on pitching.....I guess they understand they know pitching better and will trade for bats... That strategy has been working for them so far so well...they traded for let's see ....Lewis Brinson, Jesus Sanchez and Monte Harrison, who all have just lit up the leagues with their offensive prowess.... meanwhile the Braves have Acuna, the Nationals Soto, and etc etc

But of course I'm a bad guy for pointing out these things and questioning that these people will be able to develop a championship team....

Give credit to Urena, kept us in the game after he looked terrible the 1st 2 innings. Bullpen was fantastic outside of Kintzler.

So the two upcoming doubleheaders against the Phillies. Neidert and Cabrera, right? I'm sure they'll piss me off and use Castano instead of Cabrera or something, but I can hope.

This next week will determine whether we can sneak into the playoffs. 2 or 3 double headers and a bunch of games against a phillies team we have played well against the last few years.

We now how the best rotation in the division for the rest of the year and every one is throwing pretty well. We need 2-3 bats to step up the next few weeks so badly because that will determine whether we can get in. Start with sixto tomorrow.

miggy ro should be hitting higher. i am on record saying he wasnt a good hitter and im happy to admit i was wrong and he has really improved to a trustworthy guy in there. He should be hitting leadoff. Berti has also shown me he has more than i gave him credit for too. He's not a starter on a playoff team in my opinion but as a bottom of the order guy who can put the ball in play and create havoc on the basepaths he can help us. For the rest of the year id go:

Rojas- SS
Marte- CF
Dickerson- LF/DH
Cooper-DH/1b
Anderson- 3b
Joyce/Aguilar platoon at DH/1b/LF
Alfaro
Berti/Isan if he comes back
Brinson or other young guy just to get ab's.

Sixto, Sandy, Pablo, Rogers, Urena, Neidert when he is built up for starting double headers.

In a year with 8 playoff teams that might be enough to get us into the playoffs. It's gonna come down to the starting pitching and a couple hitters getting hot down the stretch. good news is while we dont have anyone crushing it we are finally healthy and i at least feel comfortable with most of the guys we have in the lineup on a daily basis.
