  • I hope he has no job July 31st.

    • Six hitless innings from Richard's. Trying not to get too excited about the rotation.

      • Alvarez just homered again. Wonder if he will platoon with Prado at 1st?

Shoulda been 6 perfect innings too. Only two base runners were on bad errors. Looked dominant.

            What of Neil Walker, then?

            • I get Kyle hendricks vibes with Richards a little. Never a very heralded prospect and not gonna k a bunch of guys or have an elite fastball but still good. I’m super excited between him, Lopez, Alcantara, smith and urena. That has the potential to be a legitimately good rotation already and we still have a bunch of other guys in the minors. Our sp situation to me seems very positive moving forward

              • Is Tayron Guerrero a lock to make the roster? Because I’m getting tired of him at this point. And he’s not young anymore.

I hope not. He's just not good

                  • Caleb smith with another great outing. Our rotation if he, urena, Alcantara, Lopez and Richards are in it should be legitimately good

                    • Yeah really encouraged about Smith.

Meanwhile Brinson hasn't gotten a hit in about a decade.

                      • O'Brien is 2-3 with 5 RBI today. He's turned his spring around to the point where he's probably a lock at this point to start in RF.

Also, Prado is 7 for his last 14 with 3 doubles. It would be great if he can stay healthy and fetch anything of value at the deadline.

Ya brinson has been pretty brutal lately. Anderson is really encouraging though and I have no idea how they plan to handle the grouping of dean, cooper, and O’Brien. Really want to see what all of them can do full time but there’s just not enough room.

Prado always seemed to do alright when he plays. It's just he's been hurt all the time the last couple years.

                            • IDK how we're going to give enough playing time to all of these guys, namely O'Brien, Cooper, and Dean. It would seem that one of those guys will start in NOLA unless Prado starts the year on the DL

If we carry 12 hitters, that is:

                              C- Alfaro/ Holaday or Wallach
                              1b- Walker
                              2b- Castro
                              SS- Rojas and Riddle
                              3b- Anderson and Prado
                              LF- Granderson
                              CF- Brinson
                              RF- ? O'Brien, Cooper, Dean?

Bench- Wallach or Holaday, Prado, Rojas or Riddle, 1 of the 2 guys who don't win the last OF job. So it pretty much just comes down to which of the 3 guys is left off the roster.

                              • Peter O'Brien has Justin Bour ability. Was touting that all last season.

Rotation should be ok...the lineup is a shit show though.
