Some are fans of the organization moreso than the individual mercenaries that come and go. What does sample size have to do with this? The simple fact is that Realmuto's full season numbers will dictate his arbitration salary and they have fallen considerably. If the team saves money on JT, there will be more to spend elsewhere.

you truly are terrible at baseball analysis and seemingly critical thinking in general. Did you really just ask what sample size has to do with the fact that JT has struggled in the just over a month since the all star break? JT's value in arbitration has skyrocketed this year. Just because it has come down from the unsustainable place it was earlier in the year doesnt mean its not still increased.
