I liked seeing the old uniforms, but I think they could be tastefully modernized, with teal silver and black as you said, and updated logos and scripts.

I loved seeing those uniforms this weekend. We dont need to go back to our exact uniforms from before, but i think the overwhelming majority of people in this town would love to see them go to a variation of our old uniforms if not our old uniforms in their entirety. I think too much teal would be a mistake, but a decent amount of teal and a little bit of an update to our old pin stripe uniforms would be a big and welcomed change. I think thats what we are going to do, the big question being when more than if.

I think the combo of going back to those uniforms and bringing back rich and tommy would be huge for the feeling around the franchise and is a good possibility. I think Rich 100% comes back next year just because the severino/hollandsworth combo sounds too much alike and even if they might have chemistry you simply cannot tell them apart and it feels like a national TV broadcast more than a marlins game. I think it depends mostly on whether Tommy would even want to be broadcasting everyday as he is older now and has grandkids, but if he is up for it, it is a no brainer that he and Rich come back and it would be a fantastic way to get some good attention for once. I still would love to know what the thought process was for the Waltz firing.

this. I think a touch of teal along with a slight modernization but the same pin stripe white uniform would be a hit with the community. I knew there was a market for those old style uniforms but i think this weekend helped cement to the new ownership who wasnt around during that time that going back to those with a slight modernization would be the best possible move. Regardless, I think a complete rebranding from the current logo/uniforms is 100% necessary for many reasons but the least of which being that this team simply could severely benefit from a rebrand from this 2012-2018 complete dumpster fire of a franchise that we have been.

I would like to see a single teal alternate jersey top, though. Maybe only used on Sunday day games like the orange ones or something.

It will be interesting to see what they do. I think the teal looks good, but as someone said in this thread the teal is also a bit of an outdated color. I think I like the old pinstripe uni's with the black hat but teal bill of the hat. It's the best possible outcome to me. Either way, I think the new ownership realized this weekend that their is definitely a market for the old school uniforms.

I always liked the teal and would welcome its return if the Marlins do change their scheme/logo. I think we can infuse it into the color scheme without overdoing it (since teal is somewhat out of style). That said, I'd hesitate to use this weekend as a barometer of fan opinion for color/scheme change, since nostalgia is a powerful drug.

All of that being said, I've grown used to the current logo/color scheme and don't really mind it all that much.

Baseball is all about nostalgia. It's increasingly infuriating to me that Loria dumped something worn by two championship team. It's not like they were the Devil Rays circa 2008 wearing uniforms associated with historic failure.
