Well we're getting a dose of Minervini already. But Severino also has been less than Walz.....called the Marlins the Yankees the other night towards the end of the game. Also one time said "here in New York", but corrected himself almost immediately

More than halfway through the season... Waltz out is a plus. Severino isn't particularly good, but he's an upgrade at play by play. Hollandsworth is somewhere between terrible and just plain bad. Stop with the "to my point" already. Just make your point, WE GET IT. And for a former player, his insights and breakdowns of the game are bland, at best. Blaylock is something like the car wreck you can't look away from. Every time she speaks, I involuntarily lean closer to the TV to hear how awkward her voice inflections are going to be. Has she never heard herself speak? Is it possible no one has ever mentioned to her how off key, or just... off her inflections are?

It took me probably 8-9 years to come around on Waltz, lol. Then they fire him. In the early years I thought Waltz was too goofy, I felt he toned it down over the years, Severino has the opposite problem, right now he's kinda bland, but maybe like Waltz he'll get more comfortable and find a more charismatic voice.

I get that the sideline reports aren't always the most interesting, but some of the "reports" she delivers are just like - do we really need to hear you talk about that?
