Mattingly has said our #5 will be Elieser as soon as he is ready.Missed 10 days due to teeth but like lou said we don't need a #5 first few weeks anyways. He will likely get a AA/AAA start or 2

Fights left are backup C(Telis/Wallach) with Telis out of options and backup UT(Adames/Mooney). Then of course the pitching battles which who the hell knows anymore??

I'm not defending the Maybin move, but come on, this guy hasn't played in the majors since 2015, and was ok at best last year. Also, if I were to guess Maybin was brought in specifically because of his ability to play CF, something it seems this guy can't do, because he's barely played there even in the minors.

Maybin is 30 and Moises is still a half a year shy of 30. Maybin signed for 3.25M. Moises has hit circa .300 with a .360 OBP the last few years, incl at AAA. Even stole 18 bags last season. Moises is also having a great spring. For some reason, p;ayers in the Marlins' own system are minimized by the organization. Braxton Lee and Brinson play a much better CF than Maybin.
