Said last week-been hearing Turner might be the vet innings eater. Wouldn't be surprising to see Urena/Straily/Despaigne/Turner/Smith with Elieser getting starts too until May at which point Elieser goes on DL till August and Turner sent down for young guys like Peters

Denbo is said to be looking at DFA/out of option arms to take a flier on especially lefties. They are dangling Conley to teams as well

We have 3-6 open spots on 40 man-Graves/Needy/Nola/Nicolino/Telis/Chen(60 Day) AND are likely adding 3-SVS/Adames OR Mooney/Turner

Ya he is on minors deal right now. Saying they can have Turner up now and if he sucks just DFA him in May and call up Peters/Alcantara. Highly doubt if he has a 5+ERA teams will line up for him

This guy Smith stinks.....even though he did get a bad break at guy was out at 1st...no replay in ST.

Good to know that despite the fact that 90% of our roster should feel grateful to even be on a major league roster this year we still have that sense of entitlement.

Also, you would think with the game being on TV and against Stanton and the Yankees the Marlins would've put a little more effort with who they brought to this game. If I'm a casual Marlins fan and pass by this game, see their lineup and then see our lineup I probably never watch a Marlins game again, lol.

I know why u said and I am telling u why they didn't. They don't care about a game on TV or that its against Stanton. No point in sending guys from 5am to 11pm to look good on TV when can play B games and be home by 3pm

Every team does it with vets/guys already on the roster plus its Sunday which means most vets have day off anyways

Jeter and Co. haven't cared about optics since they've taken over, I guess it's silly for me to think they'd start once the game starts.

And yet we'll probably start the season with Alcantara, Brinson and Anderson on the team, not giving a fuck about service time and an extra year of control. Wish they would not care about optics in that situation.

Not sure about Alcantara and they tried with Anderson. Brinson has looked solid this ST. I would send all 3 down

Nicolino looked like crap today. Who knows what they do with him but they can probably find better on DFA market
