MLBPA pissed at Marlins,Rays,Pirates,A's for not spending enough. However no issues with Boras or other agents asking for crazy prices for their guys

Miami is gonna suck for 3 years yet MLBPA would love them to give Arrietta or other vet a 3 yr/80 million dollar deal just to spend money

It isnt gonna go anywhere with us because of this

Enforcing the provisions relating to these funds falls in the domain of commissioner Rob Manfred. He can issue penalties, require the submission of a two-year plan, and even order changes with that plan (“after consultation with the Players Association”).

When Jeter got the team they gave MLB and the owners a 2 yr plan(Project Wolverine) and they all know and agreed to what Miami is doing right now

MLBPA needs to address it in the CBA then and shut the fuck up already. They sign a CBA that essentially incentivizes teams to do what we are doing, especially if they have no shot at contending, and then cries foul when teams run their business in a way that is smart with regards to the rules. Want to do something about it? Negotiate a salary floor or some sort of provision playing players more. Quit bitching that teams are running their organization cheaply when the rules incentivize doing it in so many ways.

MLBPA is crying because guys who thought they were getting 4/100 or massive deals didn't. Miami is spending 80-90 million this year to go 62-100. Why add 20 million more and go 65-97?? Makes no sense

We gave MLB/all other owners a plan and they are sticking to it

Diaz has been very shaky defensively so far. Also he forgot his Jersey back in Jupiter for this game according to DVH.

Take what? All I said is I hope they give him a role now and stick to it instead of bouncing him back and forth between SP/RP. He showed LY he can be a SP

Diaz broke his hand and couldn't do anything till like Dec so he is getting back in shape. Which is why he is playing so much now

What are you talking about bouncing him back and forth? Theyve literally said he will be used as a starter and only gave him some relief appearances last year towards the end of the year because he was way above his previous high innings total.

Despaigne and Elieser looked great today. Should be interested what they do with them both. Someone has to see if Smith has options or not

We have been known to bounce guys back and forth. Just saying if they want him to be a SP(which he has looked great as) they treat him like one. I like him better as a Closer/Setup guy myself.

Brinson 2-2 today with a double and is hitting .400 so far. Elieser Hernandez and Despaigne each with 3 scoreless innings. Peters didnt have it today with 4 walks in just a third of an inning.

Good starts for lots of guys but Brian Anderson has started slowly without a hit thus far in his first 7 ab's. 4 walks and only 1 K though.

Damn i know you guys said Diaz got off to a bad start due to the injury from last year but didnt realize he was 0-8 with 5 K's. that's so bad in a small sample that its kind of impressive.

Frisaro wrote yet another article on Brinson today talking about whether he was going to make the roster or not and if hes looked good thus far and yet again failed to even mention any potential service time considerations. How has not one beat writer even brought up these points for all of these guys?

What we are already learning about Harrison and Diaz: They are trying to pull everything. Until they learn to hit up the middle or the opposite way, the struggles will continue. Neither one has gotten the ball into the air yet.

Former Marlin farmhand Kyle Jensen, 29, is lighting it up for SF! In a dozen plate appearances: five walks, one K, 3 HR, 7 RBI, .571 avg.
