They're the only players worthy of being in a major league starting lineup besides maybe Ruggiano (Coghlan does not belong in one).

not sure why Ruggiano maybe does but Coghlan definitely doesn't

Ruggiano's a poor man's Cody Ross, and Cody Ross deserved a starting job back in the day.

What is that...Mathis's 7th or 8th start in the 14 games hes been off the DL? He has to have naked pictures of someone or something.

                  He's great defensively

and not much worse than the other choices, offensively

Coghlan has been great over the last 3 weeks or so

Why don't they move Coghlan back to the infield?

                      Also, let Brantly play.

Where does Solano ass go when he gets back? You know they will shove him in somewhere.

I really don't pay much attention: Is Mathis starting against RHP?

Brantly is sporting a solid-for-a-catcher slash line of .276/.343/.333/.677 against RHP. So he's both (1) greatly superior to Mathis offensively and (2) the whole young and needing reps thing. If Mathis is starting against RHP that's really bad and dumb.

If Mathis is just starting against LHP then that's good, let Brantly get rest. Don't complain about that. Considering how many offdays a catcher needs in a season, Brantly should always be platooning so no need to worry about him getting reps against LHP.
