Hech had 3 hits, including his NL leading 5th triple
Ozuna had an RBI triple in the 8th off Chapman to tie it up
Redmond made Ozuna bunt in his at bat before that
Redmond pinch hit Polanco for Dietrich in the 9th
    Jeff Mathis is terrible
    Greg Dobbs sucks
    Nick Green remembered he suck
Juan Pierre homered, is still one of the worst everyday players in baseball
Jose Fernandez was great, threw 99 pitches
Steve Cishek is not so good right now

Was Dietrich pinch hit because the pitcher was a lefty?

Well that kinda makes sense, even though Dietrich would probably do better than Polaco at this point.

Polanco had decent numbers (2/4 I think) against Chapman, but that being said... I'd rather see Dietrich there

if Redmond ever bunts with his cleanup hitter again, I'm gonna rip up one of his baseball cards

If it was Polaco batting cleanup, I think you'd be OK with him bunting :p

Dietrich has been awful against LHP's his entire minor league career and I don't think it's hyperbole to call Chapman one of the best two or three LHP's in baseball.

I think it's absolutely the right move.

it's more a shout at Polanco, more than about Dietrich being terrible against lefties

                  Re: the cleanup spot

I'd have a problem with Redmond bunting at any time with 2 on and 0 outs... regardless if its the cleanup spot or not (not counting pitchers)

I am not sure I would call Aroldis Chapman one of the best 2 or 3 lefties in the game. He throws major gas but is erratic at times and only has 2 pitches.

That said, Dietrich had a great AB against him last night.

Chapman has allowed a run in 24 of 157 appearances at the major-league level.

Erratic Aroldis, that's what they call him.

.105/.105/.105 against lefties in 19 at bats

lefties can't touch him (Dietrich was right to be PH for)

Mariano Rivera only has 1 pitch.
