Like, he came into a game that we were in control of and gave up a 3-run HR to the first batter he faced. Valdespin was so incredibly elated/surprised that he hit it out that he looked like he was going to break into tears when he was walking down the steps into the dugout (I had a very good vantage point to see this).

Incredibly hard to understand why Ramos would get any hate today.

      This is trolling, right?

People were not responding to posts that said "Ramos really sucked today." People were responding to: "Ramos needs to GTFO" and "Ramos has been rough."

He was bad today. He has been pretty good overall.

I don't think one bad pitch warrants him being off the team, especially considering that he's probably the second best reliever on the team.

Also, I don't think Jordany Valdespin was breaking into tears in the dugout, but ok. He did have five pinch-hit HR's last year so I don't think he considers it some sort of miracle that he hit one out today.

          Call it what you want.

I think making a post like "not understanding all the Ramos hate" after the guy gives up a 3-run HR to the first batter he faces is incredibly poorly timing.

The team is on the verge of winning FOUR games in a row (unthinkable a week ago) and he serves up a meatball to Valdespin (of all people) to carve his fork into.

Is it REALLY that hard to understand?

It was a shitty post and shitty posts get attention here.

So what you're saying is that you agree that Ramos has been rough and needs to GTFO?

It wasn't just this thread either. A couple of people on gamethreads have said the same things. Beef has said it too, which was why I asked if it's because he looks like a douche.

                Stop being so thick, man.

                That's not what I'm saying.

You said, "I can't understand all the Ramos hate" after he served up a brutal meatball.

Do you ever read what you post after you post it?

But I said it because of the two posts before mine.

                    I just...

Is there not a difference between "he had a bad game" and "he needs to go"? It seems like there is to me. People were responding to one set of posts, not the other. That seems pretty clear to me.

holy fuck, I don't think he needs to be put on waivers or even sent to the minors

reading too much into the GTFO post.... I'd like to believe I would have been more articulate if I really thought he should be sent down or to Japan
                      ----

the GTFO was more a shock of the fact he came in and let Valdespin shit all over him.... like "are you fucking kidding me"

That's average velocity for his outings, not including today. Doesn't really seem like a big deal there with the exception of the first three or so outings, which is probably common to an extent.

I don't see anything for max velocity per outing. I'm pretty sure I've seen him touch 96 several times this year, just not consistently of course.

This provides a graph giving limits of velocity and average for each outing, and his most recent outing was down.

                          Agreed

Of those with more than 10 IP:

8 Marlins pitchers have a lower WHIP than Ramos
