You keep doing this thing where you sarcastically say a thing that literally nobody believes.

        • I'm fairly certain nobody believes finishing with a better record than the 98 team will be a big moment. I could be wrong, though.

Probably 3 at the most before they shut him down.

That all depends on how strict they are with the limit. I think he gets to four. He's 24.1 innings away from 170. A safe projection would be 6 innings per start so four is the probable amount.

                    • Averaging 6.2 per start since June 1. Went 7 in more in 8 of the 14. We'll see I guess.

                      • It definitely sounds like it's not a hard target of 170 innings.

                        • They've said 150-170. And Redmond said hopefully closer to 170 (like his opinion matters).

But I really wouldn't be shocked if they end up just letting him pitch the rest of his starts either.

Fernandez is likely to have two more starts before the Marlins shut him down for the season. "The date is still roughly going to be early September," manager Mike Redmond said

God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.
