What I think is bullshit about it is that both performed better than Kearns and both are on already on the 40-man roster and Kearns is not. They are going to have to make a lot of roster moves to add Kochman, Slowley, Qualls, Valaika/Valez and Kearns.

ST isn't a meaningful sample size. Kearns has been much better offensively over the last few seasons (which is sad), and considering how bad our offense will probably be, that's something that should be considered.

Gorkys and Coghlan are pieces of shit on offense. Kearns isn't likely to be much better but I don't think it's something that you should be upset over.

The Valaika/Velez battle seems to also include Coghlan(So if they keep Valaika or Velez,Coghlan will prolly be dealt or DFA opening that spot or just keep Coghlan)

Also Kearns really hasn't made the team yet,they had to tell him yesterday or let him walk or pay him 100k. If something better comes along,he can still be gone.

Gorkys shouldnt be on a ML roster but plays solid defense and its not like we have a ML roster. Plus he is out of options,maybe when Silverio comes back but on right now
