Marlins May Benefit from Under-Budget Construction
Celebration turf is being replaced with Platinum TE and Bermuda 419. Both are more shade tolerant than Celebration which is seen mostly on golf courses. The Marlins grounds crew over estimated how much the heat and humidity would keep the grass in the shaded areas alive. It's a good article that goes into some of the early battles with the infield dirt.
Big Z'er, do you realize how fucking hot it gets in Miami in the summer?
Commmmmmmooooooooooon, guy.
We don't need to be sweating our balls off while we're trying to enjoy a Corona Light draft and watching Hecchhhevarrrrrriiiiiiiaaaa strike out looking for the 3rd time.
Shouldn't be too hot during 7 PM games. Open up the roof and the windows and see how it goes.
If I'm the fish, I'd try to make the fans interact and vote whether they want the roof open or closed for every game. Polls close at 6PM and obviously if weather conditions are bad, you vetoe the fans decision.
I think it would be a very nice way to get the fans involved.
